The Experience

What SoulQuest is

How participants describe the journey in their own words.

The destinations, adventure, community, and group dynamic were all very powerful. I think the greatest value was in the people we were with. The amazing relationships that were formed, the amount that we get to learn from each other. Watching others grow and be authentic in that growth is so wildly powerful. And also the locations - the outsides mirroring insides. The feeling of going on a journey together, a physical one, and an inner one, all together - is such a powerful metaphor for life itself.

The container was new for me, the facilitation and personal development work was really amazing and it is obvious that a lot of love and talent has been poured into this creation. Interspersing that with amazing destinations and experiences works to help keep walls and defenses down while reprogramming and building new insights.

SoulQuest is a group travel experience with retreat elements. We delve into the spirit of what it means to be a modern day warrior, we investigate what it means to go through a modern rite of passage and initiation into our next selves, and we learnt what it really means to be self-accountable and committed to our goals and the person we want to be. It's really about becoming your best self and moving into the next version of yourself. Creating a true travel family on the road where you not only go through experiences together, you are able to process what they mean for you in real time and actually do the work of coming out changed.

A quest into the depths of self through a combination of adventure, somatic exercises, team building, community bonding, self expression and development. It is an immersive conscious way of travelling that felt like a soul retreat. It was laughter and amazement. A groundbreaking thought and soul provoking journey. A deepening connection with nature, spirituality, soul and community.

SoulQuest was a whirlwind of travel and experience, mixed with intense group therapy aimed at personal growth and creating a more engaged, connected and impactful society.

There is no value I could put to what I received from the journey. It was priceless.

The amount of time and effort dedicated to the details of the trip, the content, the planning, all the nuances - it was clear that SO much time and effort went into this all.

The value to me has been immeasurable. My experience has helped define my path forward. The experience of being in a container is so extremely educational and insightful for me.

Lessons from the Quest

What warriors carried home

The insights, breakthroughs and lessons that continue to unfold long after the journey ends.

The work on Fear has been tremendous for me. I feel a grounded resolve to address my life challenges. I built new connections with a depth that is beyond what I could imagine possible in such a short time frame, and especially in my current emotional and headspace states. My connection to land and nature have profoundly deepened. As I say to people, I left a piece of my heart in South Africa. And that's an outcome that was deeply unexpected.

That I need to find my power, use my voice, challenge my beliefs of what it means to stand up for myself, and learn to trust that people/circumstances that are healthy for me will allow me to show up truly authentically in this way.

I gained a deep understanding of the power of taking accountability, noticing where I fall short and where I stand tall, and that I am absolutely co-creating with the universe.

I was confronted with my self deprecation as a tool to hide and avoid being seen, it was extremely valuable to experience this. I learned that I am Peace at my core and that the turmoil is layered on top. It's not about fighting the turmoil but just letting it go and finding myself at the core. I learned that it is safe to let the world see the big me, and that I am actually taking away from the world when I hate, belittle or diminish myself. Peace is always available to me as long as I continue to train myself to connect to it.

One of the biggest insights was around the importance of being able to lead yourself if you want to have a leadership role in community. Putting your own inner world and responsibility of yourself as centred importance as when you embody this leadership it then shows outwards and is a beacon in your community. To stand in truth and to be committed to being honest and vulnerable with yourself and others allows for deeper connection, understanding and trust. Facing the dragon allows you to unlock your hidden potential. This is how we grow. You are always supported in this journey and we are all here to co-lead in our own unique ways.

I feel as though on this journey I was able to see my essence clearer. It allowed me to understand my inner world with more truth and to be able to see what feels in alignment to me. I found myself being able to discern a lot clearer what is my truth and also how my decisions ripple out. I feel like I am able to see and speak truth with more clarity and to sit in vulnerability, I have brought light to the ways in which judgement played a subtle role in my perspectives of certain things and how to move into non-judgement. I moved a lot of self doubt out the way into a space of trust in my gifts. It taught me to have grace with myself in this process and that we are all learning. I found an undercurrent of strangers move through me as I chose to face the depths of myself.

It helped me become sure about my soul's longing to be a Mother. And that my denial of that was standing in my way about being sure about my business. I would never have found that if I hadn't let whatever wanted to arise, arise. I was so sure it would be about leadership in my own business - but coming into truth about motherhood helped me come into truth about everything else. I was holding back, stopping my truth about this, and so I stopped my truth about other things. I couldn't see the full picture. I've come back so certain about so many things. I've never been so sure and so at ease with the world.

I was able to experience a loving and supportive group of people who allowed me to feel comfortable and safe to show myself and was rewarded with supportive and positive feedback as well as some challenging but good reflection. I have a clearer picture of my internal struggle and feel armed with insight to make positive changes, I am more motivated to find ways to connect and engage with my community and want to find ways in which I can be me fully while positively impacting the world around me.

Holy shit....... It became so clear to me that I have given away SO much of my power over the years, and the people pleaser in me is still very alive. That when I am challenged with two things I value, seemingly at odds, I default to putting myself second. I'd say the change itself is still in the formation phase, but it's cooking for sure!
